“ This was my favorite meal in Tulum! The server was awesome and didn’t hesitate to make recommendations, which we appreciated. We had crab empanadas, fish tacos, and the most AMAZING stuffed plantains. I’m still dreaming about them! Also, say yes to chips and salsa – the chips were seasoned and so delicious. ”
“ Amazing shrimp tacos! The food, service and atmosphere were awesome. I ended up eating here 3 times during my 6 day stay in Tulum. ”
“ Best meal we had in Tulum! Manuel did a fabulous job at describing all the dishes and making recommendations. The food was insanely good! We had the stuffed plantains and the crab legs. We can barely move after eating every bite. ”
“ Well deserved reviews!! Went twice. One of the best food places in Tulum downtown - despite it being popular among tourists it has not lost its charm and quality. The owner is a fantastic lady who will impress you with both the food and her friendly charm. Food is fantastic, they were able to accommodate allergies and served fresh fish, shellfish and pastas. The guacamole is particularly yummy (contains fried tuna bits). The ambience is lovely and calm and the staff is attentive, friendly and can speak poco English. ”
“ Absolutely incredible food! One of the best restaurants I’ve been. The owners and the staff are very nice people and they speak perfect English. I recommend it with all my heart! ”
“ We just arrived in Tulum, and this is the first place we visited. Honestly, we were very impressed. First of all, the staff is extremely polite, providing quick service—they immediately seated us and even guided us on where to park the car. They helped us choose from the menu, especially for our daughter, who is quite picky with food. Overall, we really enjoyed everything. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and we would definitely recommend this place to others. The only challenge is the parking, as it’s very limited. It’s probably best to park somewhere on the main street and walk to the restaurant, as it’s located in a residential area where parking is very tight. But aside from that, everything was wonderful! ”
“ Fabulous experience at El Cayuco! Our first time and the owners and staff were very helpful with the menu and recommendations. If you are looking for chicken or beef, this isn’t the restaurant. As a starter, we ordered an unusual cheese in a passion fruit jam. Similar to Brie, but better! Portions for the entrees are shareable size. The sea bass fillet was moist and flaky with excellent flavor. Not fishy taste. The breaded shrimp had a light coating and was stuffed with. a mild cheese over delicious rice and plantains. Tacos were excellent flavor! All of our dinner was delicious! Great experience! ”
